Intel HD Graphics 3000, Intel HD Graphics 4000 or Intel Iris Pro or faster NOTICE: Some of the complex 4D sceneries require a fast graphic card for optimal performance. NOTICE: The download size is very large and will take several hours to complete! Really Good (7.4.7) 11/1/2016 9:44:00 PM 5/5 By AppleII+ I used Reflex XTR before but that was only for Windows and got tired bootcamping to Windows all the time. AeroFLy RC 7 works flawless on my 15' MacBook Pro so far which has the dedicated GPU. Never tried on a lesser configuration. Physics simulation feels allright, sound effects are good too although the crash sound is a bit too dramatic:-) I have crashed real models many times, it does not sound like a passanger jet just crashed on your roof:-) It would be great if you could by individual planes or packages like F3A, F3C, Park Flyers etc - Instead of the only two upgrade options. Also a training mode would be awesome where it teaches to different acrobatic maneuvers or even landing and basic maneuvers for beginners.

Super fun, but (7.4.7) 9/15/2016 5:51:00 AM 3/5 By grandpa halfdime The one thing it needs is cockpit view because without it landing is a real crap shoot! I have dropped one star for no cockpit view.

I have ordered the adapter to use our RC Flight Controller, at which time I’ll most likely up this just a little, but for now I must complain that neither of our controllers are reasonably responsive. We have the Saitek x52 pro flight system and it works well but isn’t representative of what we will use to fly an RC airplane. We also used PS-3 controllers, but they are quite squirrelly at best. So, I have dropped on star for the controllers, which I’ll revisit when I get the adapter for our Spektrum DX6 Transmitter and we work with it.

Having Fun with Aerofly Flight Simulator Version 7.4.7 for Mac (7.4.7) 3/16/2016 5:50:00 PM 5/5 By KenT237 Purchased Aerofly Flight Simulator Version 7.4.7 (by Ikarus) through Apple Store for $40 and downloaded into my Mac Book Pro laptop as an APP with no problem. I’m using laptop for portability and let my kids have fun. As for the Controller, used borrowed USB corded controller by Great Plains Real Flight Interlink Elite (made by Futaba). Upon plugging in the USB cord into my MacBook Pro, it recognized this controller.

Went through the easy calibration process of controller by following the on screeen menu and I was up and running. On right bottom of screen kept on getting message FPS (frames per second) too low with numbers in the 20’s. Since I have Mac Book Pro with Retina Display,2.8 GHz i7, 16GB RAM, Graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB, I thought I should use the highest Graphics Quality Setting avaialble on the Aerofly Setting Menu. After trial, I am using Medium Overall graphics quality setting which gives the recommended 30 FPS or higher resolution. I tried it at Low Overall Graphics Quality setting and it gave about 40 FPS or higher and the resolution is still vividly clear! Since all of my laptop, Desktop are all Apple/Mac system and Aerofly is the only true Flight Simulator that works directly with Mac systems without having to purchase additional Parallels/Boot Camp and partition drive, Windows Anti-virus and Windows Operating systems if I were to use Phoenix or Greast Plains-Real Flight, I can’t believe why it is not advertised well. I have to return the borrowed USB Controller to my friend, and I intend to Upgrade to Aerofly Professional or Ultimate soon, so now I must determine what is the best way: 1) Ikarus USA or Amazon, etc has their Ikarus USB plugged controller box for $65.

(The USB box does not use batteries as it is powered by USB cord). The reviews on after market USB plugged controller box for about $20 are iffy.

2) Use my Spectrum Transmitters DX5e or DX6 with Ikarus USB Plug Adapter for $45 3) Use my Spectrum transmitter with Ikarus other adapters to allow Wireless/No cord. (See You Tube illustrations). Aerofly has taken off the edge and given me confidence in R/C flying and now off to the field. Have fun flying! Ken T PS: In the past, I did R/C Soling 1 Meter Sailboat which is 2 channels on a 2-dimensional space; now R/C planes are 3 channels or more on a 3-Dimensional space and it is more fun and challenging.

My club flies practically all year by putting on skiis during snow, putting on pontoons over water, and wheels over land. Professional R/C Flight Simulator (7.4.5) 2:55:00 AM 5/5 By Cellman99 I rarely write reviews.

I probably would not for this sim either if it were not for all the negative reviews. This is a great app. The graphics are top notch. The scenary is very detailed.

FPS are fine (but I am using a high end iMac). It recognizes and calibrates many transmitters and joysticks. I like flying over a hill to discover what town or airport may be on the other side. I find the flight model, which is the most important, to be very representative of RC planes. For example, if you lower the flaps in flight, the plane gains altitude and loses airspeed. The only complaint I have is that I can’t get the HUD instruments to display English SI units. They only show metric.

(7.4.5) 10/1/2015 6:57:00 AM 5/5 By Fl0R1 Was a little spooked with the negative reviews but took a leap of faith with the purchase and have to say that once the controller/transmitter was set up correctly it worked without a hitch. It took me a minute to set up the Dynam third party USB transmitter that I had lying around from when I had an old PC based game. Once I calibrated it and figured out how to reverse the aileron channel everything worked as promised and feels fairly realistic, so no need to upgrade for a more realistic flight experience as some said was necessary. 'Might upgrade at a later point for the additional planes and sites, but this will do for a bit and should be a good training tool for myself and especially for my eight year old son and it should save us from crashing many a plane and helicopter. BTW, I run it on a late 2012 21” iMac with 2.7 GHz i5 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB with fairly high realism and it runs just fine. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

(7.4.5) 8/23/2015 12:40:00 AM 1/5 By Wack wack 10 We came from flying Real Flight on a PC computer and was very pleased with the realistic flight characteristics and sound. We recently went to an iMac and purchased this one in hopes of the same type experience as Real Flight because you guys are the only Mac supporters.

Aerofly Rc Simulator

I have got to say this is one of the worst RC simulators I have played. The flight characteristics are aweful and do not resemble a true RC at all, other than getting familiar with how to control it. The sounds are like something from a bad movie made in the 50's. Sorry to be harsh guys but go fly a real RC and pay attention to the flight characteristics and sounds, then go try your competitors systems and fly and compare flight characteristics and sounds of Real Flight to yours, there is no comparison and I know you can easily see this and probably already know this. I purchased the $39 version first and thought well maybe if you get the bottom of the line version is the reason for the bad flight characteristics and sounds, so I spent another $59 and upgrades to the Pro version. What a huge mistake.

How can I get a refund and remove from my apple account so I do not have to waste money on this?
