Go-nuts Re: How Do You Uninstall Go1 For Mac
This happens to me INCESSANTLY. I'm looking at my calendar events one second, and POOF!, the next second all of the events I've entered into the calendar- with the exception of birthdays that are on the actual contact information for a person- are GONE. My calendar settings are set to sync all events- no timeframe- and always have been. This happened to me nonstop on my old iPhone 3GS, and I was sure it was the phone causing this issue. Now, I have my new iPhone 5 in my hands and same ol', different equipment. I have done EVERYTHING I can think of to prevent this from happening or to restore the data- including rebooting, holding home button and on/off at same time, etc.- and NOTHING works to restore the data.
@davronakil well, that's good to hear for you, but that's not good. One of the main points of this last CL was indeed to improve and debug the situation with a 3 number version, and it works for me with 1.9.4 here. Mac OS X 10.6 or later, amd64, 386, use the gcc† that comes with Xcode‡. If you are upgrading from an older version of Go you must first remove the. X86 on Linux, the archive you want is called go1.2.1.linux-amd64.tar.gz. You're almost done. The official mailing list for discussion of the Go language is Go Nuts.
And then, just as magically as the data disappeared, POOF!- the data is back randomly sometime later. That 'later' may be 5 mins, a day, several days. This is an absurd and EXASPERATING glitch that APPLE NEEDS TO FIX IMMEDIATELY!!! I'm starting to hate the iPhone and Apple in general when I continuously experience HUGE glitches like this that have a profound impact on what you're trying to accomplish within a feature that you DEPEND on. Yet Apple has 'never heard of that problem before'. You suck, Apple.
Don't send your problems out into the real world, to users who just gave you $800 for another glitchy piece of equipment that never solves your software issues. OK, that's a mystery. You could try stopping the Calendar app, followed by resetting your phone.
Double-tap the home button, locate the Calendar app (swiping if necessary), tap and hold the icon until it jiggles, tap the red minus sign. Now reset the phone by holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneoulsy 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple logo (ignoring the off slider that appears first), release and wait for the phone to restart. You won't lose any data.
This may fix the Calendar but probably won't restore any missing events. This happened to me today using Week Cal. Mine had something to do with backing up with iCloud.

Originally in settings I had my email account as the selected calendar to sync with. If you are backing up with icloud, try going to settings, then select to sync with iCloud Home. I also found a load of settings I didnt even realize were within the app itself since the latest update. Hopefully this works for some of you. I can relate to the frustration of losing all your important dates, which is why I like to back my data up. This happens to me INCESSANTLY.
