So the nice people at Line 6 have offered the opportunity to upgrade to POD Farm Platinum for $99 to licensed users of Amp Farm 3.0. Great news, and the POD Farm product has the best graphical interface for Pro Tools you've seen.

It is full offline installer standalone setup of Line 6 POD Farm 2.5 mac crack for macOS. Line 6 POD Farm 2.5 Overview POD Farm 2 Platinum delivers an expansive model count, a simple yet powerful workflow, and world-renowned POD tone for any DAW. May 29, 2011  Hey folks, hope this is okay to post. There is a free download of a lite version of POD Farm 2.5 at Line 6's website. I heard about this the other day and grabbed it.

The license for Platinum downloads nicely into iLok. So far so good. Now: how on earth do you find the Platinum software to download? Off the Line 6 site it's relatively easy to download the regular POD Farm software, and it works fine in PT8.0. But how do you get at the Platinum (with all of the additional components)? Mergerboy PT8.0; G5; 192; Leopard.

A1: I would think Amp Farm will still be available in the TDM drop down menu and Pod Farm would be in the RTAS menu. I cannot believe they would make it inoperable with an RTAS update for a TDM plug. If that's the case I'll hang back with the TDM version, thank you very much.

And though this was a Digidesign sent message I find no mention of it in the 'News' drop down on the Digi boot page. And there is no clarification on the Line 6 pages or FAQs either-to my eye anywaze.

Anyone out there know where the actual skinny is regarding this? J Fred in Nashville. From what I see it is not a special deal and I'd say the End-Of-Life email was misleading. That is low down! After buying Amp Farm and paying all the upgrades along the way, it appears we have no advantage in this deal because it appears to be $99 for anyone off the street from what the website says. See below: POD Farm ( iLok License ) POD® tone in any DAW $99.00 Item cannot be returned.

Return policy (This is an iLok License. You must have an iLok device to use this product. POD Farm is the new plug-in software platform that enables POD tone in virtually any DAW and is Mac® AU/RTAS/VST and Windows® RTAS/VST compatible for seamless integration with all major recording software applications. It's an upgrade for owners of iLok® hardware that gives you ultimate flexibility with a crucial collection of tones no recording guitarist should be without.

For example, after you record a dry guitar signal you can audition different tones for it during playback without changing your original recording. This way you will always have the right guitar tone to fit the song without having to re-record that 'perfect' riff. You can also stack multiple amp and effects models to further customize your guitar tone.

You can even split your guitar signal and play through two full rigs of amps, cabs, effects and more to produce classic dual tone combinations or gorgeous new hybrids. Dual Tone presets provide tried-and-true tone combinations in an instant.

I use Pod Farm and Amp Farm side by side all the time. Clients bring in their Pods and floorboards and we can transfer their settings to the session. Or we export the settings to their Line6 Gear for live purposes. It's actually a huge benefit. The upgrade, as mentioned before, isn't really an upgrade. Go to Sweetwater or some other music site and get it for $99.

Anyone can get it for that. Just go buy the new plug. It's a totally different plug than Amp Farm. It can do so much more.

But it is RTAS. I have folks track live with AF and then use Podfarm during mixing. Hey folks: FYI, This is where I found it, navigating from the link in the mail. I went ahead and fessed up for the 99US$ and installed (no problems or issues with iLok or the install). I did a custon install-only the RTAS plugin and not the other options. It does have a bunch of stuff in it. I created a session, 2 audio playlists, put AF in one and PodFarm in the other with Trim inserted before PodFarm.

I put in a good ol' AF 'go to' patch and then muted that and went for the POD. Bear in mind I did not delve into the manual so this is just a couple of hours of messing with it.

Of course there's all the requisite shredder patches but the amp models are good and the cabinet choices are similar. The bells and whistles are in the efx choices which include just about every item you could ever want to insert before or after anything.

So there is a lot to mess with. The interface is good but as usual with plugs like this it's very mouse intensive-tab to field and letting the arrow and 'enter' keys function would be great additions to any plugin. There is no Pod Farm Root folder installed (that I could find in the 'Save As' plugin dialogue) so you have to create one in 'Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plugin Settings'. The presets/choices are on long drop down menus that are alphabetical and looooonnnnnnngggggg. The 'gear' prompt is done in an iTunes artwork type roller/scroller-once again very mouse intensive. The 'panel' view is as you would expect. I finally designed a good 'go to' patch and then muted that and went back to AmpFarm on the other track and.voila!the same!

I did notice a lot of 'drag' when playing. So just for grins I enabled Delay compensation to see what the numbers were and got +589 with Pod and -25 with AmpFarm so latency could be an issue for you. I wouldn't want to track with it on a session. My suggestion would be to do your parts with AmpFarm and then go back with PodFarm and experiment if you have the time, the mouse patience and the budget. But considering the bells and whistles that are available here it's hard to beat the price tag. Cheers and I would love to know what you guys think.

J Fred in Nashville. Well, the link doesn't work from here (in Ann Arbor MI) I didn't get the email personally but I own Amp Farm 3 through the HD Pack I got with my system (ie it was not bought 2nd hand, however was not purchased 'at retail') Do I need to look for my HD pack serial on Digidesign.com from my original purchase or some such? Or is everyone getting the email a 'retail price purchaser?' I think Eleven rocks & if I wasn't a guitarist I wouldn't care. I can see folks that use Pods really being happy that it was on my rig though. This is the link from the email I got with a special code to enable the offer (platinum version, just buy and install it no problem).

Thanks a lot! I followed this link, had to type my username and password, then I placed my order for a US$99 Pod Farm Platinum for Amp Farm users. I am happy I didn't have to surrender my Amp Farm 3 I just bought!

Doesn't RTAS versions of amp simulators bug anyone here? I mean, we are really at a disadvantage to LE users when it comes to these RTAS versions of amp simulators. LE users can get much less latency in their system with recording with these plug-ins then we can. If they are TDM, then it works great for us. But we can only have them in real time if we do the TDM plug before RTAS thing and I can still sense the latency much more then when it is a TDM plug-in. I currently have clients record with Amp Farm 3 (which sounds like support is going out the window), then switch it to the sound we want in Pod Farm. I would like to have the clients record with the sound that will be used in the final mix.

I wonder if more of us can't speak up for TDM versions of Pod Farm and Amp Simulators from other companies. Who offered this upgrade? I never received any email from Digidesign or Line 6 about this offer.

I read that it was Line 6, but I asked them and they told me that it was Digidesign who offered this upgrade. I get all kind of offers and publicity from Digidesign and Line 6, but this offer that was of my interest, never reached me. Being a Ampfarm user for about 10 years, passed through all versions 1, 2, 2.5 and 3 and now finding out that this offer was made for a short period without informing their registered users, makes me wonder why did Digidesign do it this way.

Do they have Eleven reasons?:rolleyes. Yes I sent an email to both companies and their reply was: Line 6: ' Hi Eduardo, Digidesign is the company that owns AmpFarm and that was a promo through them. Please contact Digidesign support at www.digidesign.com for further assistance. ' Digidesign: ' Line 6 was offering a time-limited upgrade price. Up until January 31, 2009, Amp Farm users could purchase a download upgrade to POD Farm Platinum for the discounted price of $99.00 (a $200 savings). Please contact Line 6 with any questions regarding POD Farm Platinum or the upgrade offer. This was not something that was ever offered or administered by Avid Digidesign.
